The Friends of the Weserburg see themselves as performing networking for the museum. By becoming a member, you support Bremen’s Center of Modern Art and enjoy a whole range of benefits. Be they discussions with artists, art excursions, seminars, discourses, art events, or voluntary involvement—as a member you are closer: to art and to like-minded people. This is inspiring—and contagious.

Supporting the museum is one of our primary tasks. As Friends of the Weserburg, we not only back numerous of the Weserburg’s activities, we also organize our own events and invite prominent people from the world of art to Bremen. We initiate fund raising, for example, for the purchase of new technology or for seating for the exhibition spaces. We advocate the Weserburg, and in doing so contribute to the popularity of Bremen’s Center of Modern Art. In addition, we facilitate the provision of research fellow positions and the purchase of works of art.
