Due to the digital information and communication technologies, more and more information has become available. Yet how can we use the information in databases, the Internet, and other digital information resources? How can we acquire an overview? At the eCulture Factory, Monika Fleischmann, Wolfgang Strauss, and their team explore and develop methods in order to sensibly deal with the flood of data. Digital knowledge media are work and tool at the same time. They are propositional systems that, based on algorithmic and structural rules, stage themselves interactively. The media productions shown in the exhibition are meant to turn the learning of cultural skills into an active aesthetic experience.
The exhibition is being presented in cooperation with the Fraunhofer-Institut für Intelligente Analyse- und Informationssysteme IAIS.
